The Highlight-Performance – Interclean 2024

The DHYS Group presented itself at Interclean in Amsterdam in a more interactive, customer-oriented and eventful way than ever before. Under the title “Grow with DHYS”, the leading international trade association for professional hygiene realized a stand concept that allowed visitors to experience the trends in the industry directly and in a contemporary way: Sustainable DYHS vacuum cleaners in “flying boxes”, brand new hotel cosmetics as a pre-launch for testing or a social media wall, with which trade fair visitors could exchange ideas very close to the cutting edge. But that was by no means everything. The retail community also used the get-together to celebrate its 10th anniversary from 2023. A real highlight trade fair – also in view of the good business response.  

The first day of the Interclean trade fair in Amsterdam was a successful and fast-paced start for the DHYS Group. During the speed dating event with selected suppliers, the organization with its 18 member groups and over 150 family-run individual companies showed that it is more than established in the industry. It was therefore able to expand its market influence in Europe even further. Now operating from 38 countries, the DHYS Group offers unique purchasing opportunities, distribution channels and services for international customers, making it a first-class business partner – also for future new members. 

Speed-Dating and a Social Media Wall as a trade fair visitor magnet 

What unites all partners, whether supplier, customer or member, was symbolically reflected in the social media wall entitled “Grow with DHYS”! The wall with larger-than-life tulips in front of an Amsterdam skyline at night did not fail to make an impact. The original hand-drawn, expressive illustration motivated many trade fair visitors to take photos and be photographed. The posts quickly went viral via a hashtag link and reached numerous users on Linkedin and Instagram. As a surprise giveaway, the DHYS Group trade fair team even presented sustainable growth in the form of real flower bulbs. 

Strong own brand and a brand new „Welcome“

However, the focus was also on the organization’s strong own brands, above all the sustainable and particularly agile DHYS vacuum cleaner “PRP 180 Reflo” or the Welcome series with the new signature design for the cosmetics line and the prototypes of the new dispenser series – both as a brand new pre-launch and exclusive premiere at Interclean. 

Top response, also thanks to strategic industry partners 

Employees from all member groups and therefore from many European countries were on hand to talk to existing and new customers about the benefits in terms of product range, logistics, e-commerce, and service management. The response was impressively positive, especially thanks to the advantages of close cooperation with strategic partners such as Diversey, Duni, Ecolab, ESSITY, Kimberly-Clark, Lucart, Unger, Vileda, WEPA and Werner & Mertz Professional, their innovative products and the global network. 

From the trade fair to the anniversary gala 

“10 years of DHYS Group” was not just another highlight at the trade fair stand. It was also the theme of the anniversary event, to which the DHYS Group invited around 160 members, suppliers and partners to a banquet at the famous Sofitel Legend The Grand Hotel to celebrate the occasion in a fitting and official manner. President Philippe Scemama (CEO GEH France) and his Vice President Matthias Ikas (CEO GVS Germany) were delighted with the great team spirit and impressive development over the years and thanked everyone in their speeches for their support, which should not be taken for granted. Continuing to grow together remains the goal. 

Impressive development and good prospects 

The successes from “0 to much more than 100” and the good prospects for the future speak for themselves, as the speakers said. In his thanks to members, customers and suppliers, Scemama particularly emphasized the tireless efforts of Group Coordination Manager Tiziana Maiello. Special thanks also went to MWI, the DHYS Group’s lead agency, for its complete support in all marketing matters, including the design and implementation of the impressive trade fair concept. 

A new member from Ukraine 

The admission of the Ukrainian Arikol Group from Odessa was a very special moment. To great applause, President Philippe Scemama officially welcomed Managing Director Yevhen Lemberg to the DHYS Group and, together with Vice President Matthias Ikas, presented him with the membership certificate. Other highlights of the evening included the cutting of a symbolic birthday cake, a Milestones slide show and, of course, an excellent 4-course meal accompanied by live music and a great atmosphere until around midnight.  

The future is called „We are Family”, but above all “Grow with DHYS”  

The beautiful event and the other two days at the trade fair ended under the motto that could also be read on the large photo wall at the DHYS Group stand. Many of the group’s meetings and business trips were captured there in colorful pictures and showed a real community – the “We are Family” feeling. All members and partners agreed that this was exactly how the organization should continue to distinguish itself, to constantly develop and grow. The point on the last day was once again the trade fair claim, which set the direction for the future: “Grow with DHYS”! which will remain the big theme at Interclean 2026.
